Cozy recommendation

Lettuce Chill

Lettuce Chill is a very chill and cozy neighborhood, you’ll love it there! 🤎 I’ve been in their server and neighborhood since summer, and it’s been really nice seeing the community continue to grow and they are slowly adding more hoods.

There are lots of chill, cozy, and kind people there. All of the staff and the owner are very friendly, and they keep the neighborhoods really organized. They also have a variety of derby styles, from derby-focused and competitive to completely chill and relaxed. So if you’re looking for a cozy, friendly, active hoods with lots of good and cozy vibes, this could definitely be the hood for you! I recommend checking them out! 🤎

This is the Lettuce Chill server lore

When was the server created?

Sarah: Lettuce Chill was created in February 2026, although its story actually began a few months earlier.

My mom and aunt had started playing Hay Day and didn’t even know what Discord was, so we originally created Lettuce Farm Together as a casual neighborhood where they could play with family without having to worry about a bunch of requirements.

Why was it originally created?

Sarah: It started with a simple idea: there should be a place for people who enjoy Hay Day without needing to meet a long list of requirements.

Around the same time, about 20 of us had met through Hay Day and become really good friends. We were chatting constantly, playing Blood on the Clocktower and other games, and generally just hanging out together.

Lettuce Chill became a place where we could keep playing Hay Day together, while also having a space to simply hang out and exist together online.

What did the server originally focus on?

Sarah: The original focus was Hay Day and casual community play.

We wanted people to be able to enjoy the game without feeling pressured by strict requirements. The social side of the community quickly became just as important as Hay Day itself.

Where did the server name come from?

Sarah: The lettuce theme grew out of our original neighborhood, Lettuce Farm Together.

Eventually, our little lettuce empire got slightly out of hand — so we decided to fully embrace it.

All of our neighborhoods now have lettuce-themed names, and even our server channels follow the theme. For example, we have a channel called Photosynthesis for sharing photos.

We also have Caesar the Lettuce, who started as our mascot and eventually became our own custom Discord bot.

How has the server changed or grown since then?

Sarah: We officially opened the server to the public in April 2026, and it has continued growing from there.

As more people and neighborhoods joined, we needed to add more structure, but we have tried to keep the same relaxed spirit that Lettuce Chill started with.

Our neighborhoods now range from no derby requirements at all to highly competitive derby play. Members can move between neighborhoods as their play style changes without having to leave the wider Lettuce Chill community behind.

The server has also expanded beyond Hay Day. We now have things like:

  • a book club
  • a Minecraft server
  • Blood on the Clocktower games
  • other games, activities, and interests that members happen to get into

Hay Day is still what originally brought us together, but the community surrounding it has become a much bigger part of Lettuce Chill.

Have there been any major milestones or changes?

Sarah: One of the biggest moments in Lettuce Chill’s growth happened when Goat Gang closed.

Around 75 people joined Lettuce Chill within a single week, which led to the creation of two new neighborhoods and a much larger team of Leads and Elders to help manage the growing community.

Opening the server publicly in April 2026 was also an important milestone because it marked the point where Lettuce Chill began growing from a smaller friend group into the larger community it is today.

Is there anything about the server’s history you’d especially like included?

Sarah: The most important part of Lettuce Chill’s history is that, even though Hay Day brought everyone together, the community has always been the bigger part of it.

It started as a relaxed place for family and friends to enjoy Hay Day without pressure, and even as the server has grown, added more neighborhoods, expanded into other games, and developed its own slightly ridiculous lettuce universe, that original idea has stayed the same.

People can play Hay Day in whatever way works for them while still being part of the same community and friendships around it.
